Hi, welcome to Rambler's Cottage Retreat! We're called Rambler's Cottage because we're ramblers (walkers) ourselves, and filled our cottage with the amenities, supplies, and services that we'd appreciate on an outdoor adventure or nature getaway!
Rambler's is located in the quaint village of Abercrave (Abercraf) within the boundary of Brecon Beacon National Park in Powys, Wales. The cottage is steps away from the River Tawe and minutes away from a variety of walking, hiking and biking trails. The famous town of Brecen is 30 minutes by car to the North, and the village of Ystradgynlais is 4 minutes away from Rambler's doorstep to the West. There is so much landscape to explore and outdoor activities to experience throughout and around the Brecon Beacon, with Abercrave being popular for its proximity to incredible landscape while not being isolated from the comforts of civilization. Rambler's Cottage is at the gateway between two worlds!
Dating back to the 18th Century, Rambler's Cottage boasts ceiling beams, stone walls, original staircase, and a wood-burning stove. Set over 2 floors, the cottage sleeps 4 people and includes an outdoor garden. We welcome all nature lovers who are looking to explore the area from a comfortable home base. Bring your family and pets!
We welcome you to find out more about us and book your stay!
Take care,
Andrea & Family
